I'm not a fabric hoarder, but seem to be a craft hoarder. I have a little bit of fabric here and there, a few bags of yarn for my knitting projects, lots of bags of scrapbooking stuff, it could go on and on. I always say to myself that I'm going to use it up, but that never happens. :)

I do not have a "stitch" of sewing talent and therefore, do not own a scrap of extra fabric for that "just in case" gift I may need (yes, I'm one of those people). However, do not fear! I have my own little obsession and can completely relate to your confession... my guilty pleasure is shopping for those little household items for any room in the house (decorative or functional) and when I get tired of something or don't like the color or style anymore, I just buy more. The unused stuff sits in bins in my closets, under beds and in the attic! There are even bins of new items (with tags still on) that I may use in the future, may use for last minute gifts, or just hold on to for someday "when we get that new house" or "when I get that room painted". I think the hunt is the biggest thrill, and when you get such a good deal how can that be wrong? It doesn't matter that you don't need the item, or could spend your money much more wisey... you know how that rationale works. I will admit this past year I've been trying to gift away many of the items I've been keeping in storage. I finally realized they were probably never going to get used and would make someone else very happy. I'm also trying to focus my spending now on just the things we "need" and put the extra money in a "retirement fund." I hope to retire in the next year or two, so no better time than the present to change my shopping habits! Love your honesty and thought process!! -- confessions of a fellow shopper

Alise:
Since I have been the recipient of some of your wonderful items, I just want everyone to know how beautifully sewn and constructed they are. You are quite talented and I have been very very pleased with the items I have purchased. Keep up the good work.
